Geo-thermal energy production is the real challenge of XXI century. Geo-thermal energy is practically unlimited and is harvested by different green-wise technologies in many countries. Australia has a very interesting geology that implies the need of new technologies to exploit the energy of deep hot rocks and the energy of other geological layers that are found at an intermediate depth. Essence Energy is undertaking a research program to explore the most suitable Australian sites and develop the new technologies needed to extract the underground energy by an innovative and cost-efficient solution.
